The Minnesota Vikings visit the Green Bay Packers this Sunday in one of the most-hyped games in NFL history. Brett Favre has trotted out for kickoff at Lambeau Field over 100 times in his career – But never as a visiting player. Favre, the Packers legend, finally returns to Title Town after a bitter divorce two years ago.
Favre claims no ill-will against his former team but the fans might feel differently. Will they shower him with boos or cheers? One player who can certainly count on loud crowd support is Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers supplanted Favre as Green Bay’s quarterback and has been brilliant ever since. Now he’ll get a chance to go head-to-head with his former mentor, in front of the Packers faithful, and prove why he was rightfully chosen to succeed Favre.
This game promises to be an explosive, high-scoring, good old fashioned quarterback duel. Will Favre get his revenge or will Rodgers move out from his shadow? We’ll have to wait and see!
