Eric Clapton Plots Solo Shows
Earlier today, we posted about Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck playing a handful of shows together in February. Many expected more Clapton/Beck tour dates would be added, but that’s apparently not the case.
Eric Clapton just announced that he will team up with Roger Daltrey of The Who for a 2010 solo tour! Clapton will set out on the solo run starting February 25th in Pittsburgh, and currently is scheduled to hit nearly a dozen cities in the East, Midwest and South by mid-March.
Roger Daltrey will open the show each night. included to the right. Backing Clapton on stage will be drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Willie Weeks, keyboardists Chris Stainton and Walt Richmond, and background vocalists Michelle John and Sharon White.
