Sigur Ros’ Jonsi Hits The Road Solo

Sigur Ros vocalist/guitarist Jonsi has lined up a North American spring headlining trek to promote his forthcoming first solo album, “Go.”

The Icelandic performer launches the outing April 6th in Vancouver BC, and will travel to 16 cities across the US and Canada. Noteable stops include nights in Seattle (4/9-10), Minneapolis (4/24-25), Chicago (4/27-28), Boston (5/5-6) and New York City (5/8-9). He will also be performing at the Coachella Festival on April 18th.

“Go,” Jonsi’s full-fledged solo debut, is due April 9 on XL Recordings. The set was produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, The National) in Reykjavik, Iceland and Connecticut.

“It’s going to be a largely acoustic-guitar record but also with a lot of ‘out there’ string arrangements,” Katis told music website The Calcutta Blog last spring. “Strings, woodwinds, brass, and double bass, actually.”

Jonsi tickets are available for purchase now!
