Veteran rockers Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have unveiled a lengthy US arena tour in support of their forthcoming release of “Mojo,” their first studio effort in eight years. The group will kick off the extensive run on May 6th at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh, NC, followed by concerts in 36 cities throughout North America. The outing currently concludes with an August 27th performance at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.
A motley group of artists will step in as special guests on various legs of the tour, including Joe Cocker (May 6-June 19); Drive-by Truckers (June 22-23, July 10-24); ZZ Top (June 25); Crosby, Stills and Nash (August 11-17, 25-27); and My Morning Jacket (August 19-24).
The new road trip coincides with the expected spring release of “Mojo,” the band’s long-awaited studio set, which still has no confirmed drop date.

It would be great to see Tom Petty again. Definitely hitting this one up.
Going to see TP&H in Toronto, 6th time, never seen a bad show.
Got the album free when I ordered my tickets at http://mthirty.com/livenation.html.
That alone makes me impressed with this tour, not sure if its him or someone else deciding these things, but hes ahead of the classic rock pack in this regard.
