Stone Temple Pilots Kick Off Tour At SXSW
Stone Temple Pilots are gearing up for their return to the road. The band has rolled out a series of spring concerts that get underway on March 18th at the South By Southwest (SXSW) music conference and festival in Austin TX. Subsequent tour stops are scattered through late May.
Stone Temple Pilots tickets are selling faster than expected – Many speculate that this is pent-up demand, after STP cancelled their winter tour last year so that they could focus on recording their new album.
This spring tour will precede the anticipated June release of the group’s sixth studio album, its first since 2001′s Shangri-La Dee Da. The band debuted the new album during a listening party at New York City’s Gramercy Park Hotel last week, according to SPIN.com.
