Philadelphia Flyers Open Season on October 7 in Pittsburgh

The defending Eastern Conference Champion Philadelphia Flyers announced Tuesday that they will open their 44th season in the NHL at Pittsburgh when they face off against their Atlantic Division and intra-state rival Penguins on Thursday, October 7th. The Flyers will also make their 2010-11 regular season debut at the Wachovia Center against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, October 11th. The 82-game regular season will conclude at home for the Flyers on Saturday, April 9th when they face off against the New York Islanders.
