Country duo Brooks & Dunn are still fixing to say goodbye, but saying goodbye will take a bit longer than they originally expected.

Last year, the pair announced they’d be going their separate ways after 20 years as one of country music’s marquee acts. But last week, the band rescheduled a handful of shows due to illness. And this week, Ronnie Dunn revealed that he’s been put on vocal rest for three weeks.

According to Brooks & Dunn’s website, Dunn said via text message, “Following my doctor’s order, shutting up, getting well and comin’ back asap!”

As a result, Brooks & Dunn will play their final show September 2nd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena — Three weeks later than initially scheduled.

All Brooks & Dunn tickets for postponed shows will be honored on the new dates.

Two shows that were on the original schedule won’t be rescheduled — June 29th in Milwaukee and July 8th in Fort Loramie, OH.
