The Allman Brothers Band is set to make its return to the stage a little earlier than expected. The group was temporarily sidelined when Gregg Allman underwent a liver transplant in June.
They’re now scheduled to play a November 11th show in Philadelphia, a November 13th show in Atlantic City, and a three-night stand at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre from November 18-20.
Allman required the new liver due to a long battle with Hepatitis C. He was released from the hospital on July 2nd and has been recovering since then.
“I’m ready,” Allman said in a statement posted on his band’s website. “I’ve been itching to play since I got the operation and am glad to be back. Can’t thank everyone enough for their help and support.”
