UK boy band One Direction recently announced their first headlining tour of North America this spring in support of their debut album, “Up All Night.”

The young British quintet, comprised of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, will kick off their inaugural U.S. run with a May 24th performance in Fairfax, VA. More than 20 shows are confirmed, and more dates are expected to be added in the coming weeks.

The boys made history as their debut album Up All Night entered the US Billboard 200 chart at #1 with over 176,000 copies sold. This makes chart history as the first British group ever to debut at #1 in the US with their debut album release. UP ALL NIGHT went straight to No.1 on the digital chart within minutes of its official release last Tuesday.

One Direction hit the big time after placing third on the seventh season of Britain’s “The X Factor.” Their debut album was the fast-selling debut album on the U.K. Albums chart last year.
